Manitoba Sasquatch Society Report Form.

Report #: 2003 / 001

Class : A

Submitted by witness on : Oct. 6, 2003

Short Description: Creature crosses path in front of witnesses.

Date: Early winter of 2002.

Location (Prov./country) : Manitoba, Canada.

Location Specifics: Pine Falls golf course parking lot.

Closest Town : Pine Falls.

Closest road : Highway # 11

Events Observed: Was walking from the golf course parking lot to the foot path which leads to town. At the beginning of the path a creature walked across the path and disappeared into the bush. It was approximately 100 feet away from us. It was judged to be 6 to 7 feet in height. It walked with it’s arms swinging with a distinct gait, like a person, but it was not a person. Creature was very dark. Thought it may have been a bear but bears do not walk like that. Was very scared.

Other eye-witnesses : Yes. Was with a friend.

Other stories from region : Yes. There are several.

Time / weather conditions : Approximately 01:00. Clear sky with a full moon and snow on the ground. Winter moons shine quite a bit of light, due to the reflective nature of snow.

Surroundings : Dense bush composed of Poplar, Alders, Willows growing in swamps. There are many rock outcroppings in the area, with stands of white spruce and Jack Pine on them.

Pictures / video / audio taken : Yes / No

Physical evidence left behind (hair, tracks, etc.) : No. Didn’t bother to check.

Follow-up by investigator : yes / no

Follow-up (if yes): I investigated the area that evening quite thoroughly. I spent an hour combing the bush for any traces, such as hair samples. Any foot prints would not be visible from last year, but if the creature has made return visits they may be there. At the point where the creature crossed there were 3 trails in the bush, accompanied by broken trees, which were snapped at the 8 foot level. These were all along the trail. At one point there were separate alder branches woven together quite intricately. In the sasquatch research field broken trees and woven branches could be an indication of it’s presence. These are thought to act as markers.
