Winnipeg River Sasquatch Association Report.
Report #: 05 / 006
Class: 01
Submitted on: April 20 / 2005
Short Description: Witness observes large creature running across road.
Date: Late Spring, 1990
Location: Manitoba, Canada
Location Specifics: Highway # 59, near Beaches golf course.
Closest Town: Grand Marais, Manitoba
Closest Road: Provincial Trunk Highway # 59
Events Observed:
I saw this creature come out of the bush and into the ditch, swinging it's long arms. It went onto the highway and crossed it. It looked like he was bouncing. Then it went into the opposite ditch and disappeared into the bush. I was about 100 yards away from it. It looked to be between 6 to 8 feet tall. It just looked very dark in colour and it didn't stop or look. It went straight over the highway. The whole thing lasted about 20 seconds and walked upright the whole time. Whatever this was, it was really moving.

Additional information.
After writing the report with the witness, we spoke for a bit aftrwards. One of the first items to come up was the fact this was definately not a Black Bear. The witness said Black Bears do not run like that. I showed some still frame by frame pictures from the Patterson/Gimlin Footage, which were illustrated in the book "Meet the Sasquatch". The witness pointed to the pictures and stated "the creature looked like that". To add, there were two witnesses in a vehicle behind her at the time of the sighting. Sadly, these two indivduals have passed on.
The witness was very credible and sincere with me, and told the story with emotion. The witness said "I should have stopped to have a look, but did not". To add, the witness said "I should be carrying a video camera with me". An intruiging account, and a very credible witness in my opinion.
