Aggressive Encounters.
Throughout the years there has been rare aggressive Sasquatch encounters. The people in the unfortunate position of being in the wrong place at the wrong time have genuinely feared for their lives, and for good reason. A creature 8 to 10 feet tall, weighing in at roughly 900 pounds is reason enough. It has been thought these exhibits of aggressive behavior have a reason. It could be territorial, having a young around or simply a mentally unbalanced creature. These events go back as far as the late 1800's. In Theodore Roosevelt's book, "The Wildeness Hunter" (1892) a terrible and tragic story was immortalized in print. This is the Bauman story, and there is a link provided. Incidents like these, non fatal, have occurred around the world. It is my goal here to find as many of these as I can and link them for your reading enjoyment.

Stories of hairy bi-peds stretch across the world. Brazil has it's own, called el mapinguary (mapee-hwar-eh). It roams the west amazon jungle in the area bordering the Andes and is described to be up to 12 feet tall and very aggressive. I'm not so sure I would want to run into this creature. It is the second article on the page.
